.The Council is responsible for governing of the Town and directing the spending of public funds. Council meetings are the Third Monday night of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Dr. M.L. Fielder Municipal Building, 145 Main Street. Council work sessions are held at 6:00 p.m. prior to each regular council meeting at the same location.

The Town Clerk's Office offers a myriad of service to the public including issuance of business licenses, permits and various town requirements. She prepares Council, Planning Commission and Public Hearing agendas, secretaries these meetings, records minutes and certifies all actions taken by the Council including all minutes, Ordinances and Resolutions. The Town Clerk is responsible for conducting all town elections and maintaining the local voters list. She assists the Mayor in preparing the annual budget and is responsible for the financial reports to the town council. All town finances are overseen by and the responsibility of the Clerk's office. Public Works Department – McKinley Price, Town Property Manager
Eclectic Public Works Department is responsible for maintenance and clean up all Town property including the Town Parks, Panther Palace, Aaron Park, and the town baseball complex. The department assists the Police Department, water and sewer department, animal control, and town events.
Municipal Court – R. Guy Holton, Presiding Judge
Eclectic's Municipal Court hears all misdemeanor cases in and for the Town of Eclectic. It meets the 1st , 2nd, and 4th Thursday each month at 6:30pm in the Municipal Court Room located at the M.L. Emergency Management Service (EMS)/Police Dispatch – Shane Adams, Supervisor
Emergency Management Service (EMS)/Police Dispatch is located with and works under the supervision of the Police Department. Police Dispatch handles general information calls. Eclectic Public Library – Betty Coker, Librarian
Eclectic Public Library was established in 2009 and has grown rapidly. They offer books, DVDs, free internet service, copying, and much more. Eclectic Volunteer Fire Department – Josh Dorminey, Chief
Seven Major pieces of fire equipment and thirty-five (35) volunteer fire fighters are on the job to provide up-to-the-date fire protection for the Eclectic Fire District. It has two locations: station #1 at First Avenue and station #2 at Middle Road. The headquarters is located at 140 First Avenue, Eclectic, Alabama 36024. The EMS Director; a full-time medic, and part-time medics provide around the clock service to the Eclectic Fire District. Eclectic's EMS includes 2 fully-equipped ambulances. Planning Commission – Gary Davenport, Chairman
The Planning Commission is responsible for all aspects of zoning in the Town. Specific questions about zoning can often be answered by the Town Clerk. However, any requests for re-zoning, zoning modification or changes in the zoning laws or technical issues regarding the zoning laws should be brought before the Planning Commission. The Eclectic Planning Commission meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month in the Courtroom of the M.L. Fielder Municipal Complex.
Industrial Development Board – Dr. George T. Flowers, Chairman
The Industrial Development Board is responsible for planning for and attracting new industry to the town.

The Eclectic Industrial Development Board meets every 2nd Tuesday of the month in the Conference Room of the M.L. Fielder Municipal Complex at 145 Main Street.
Eclectic Water Works and Sewer Board – Jennifer Lyle, Office Manager

Eclectic Senior Center – Minnie Johnson, Director
The Senior Center operates from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday, except for holidays. They provide activities such as bingo, dominos, entertainment, seminars, etc. The Senior Center also provides daily meals through the Central Alabama Aging Consortium. Suggested lunch donations are $1.60 per day. They also offer a handi-capped van pick up to and from the Senior Center daily for those who live within an approximate 5 mile radius. The Senior Center provides homebound meals for seniors 60 and over who are not able to come to the Senior Center.
