The 22nd annual Alabama Cotton Festival will pack downtown Eclectic, Ala. for concerts, contests, delicious food and arts and crafts from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11.
Vendors will line Main Street with a wide variety of delectable food and unique wares, as local dancers strut their stuff, 'Bama's best bands play live and lovely ladies vie for the coveted tiaras of Alabama's Cotton Queens.
Music by the Josh Brannon Band and Nashville duo The Springs will make this year's Alabama Cotton Festival a can't-miss event for the River Region.
The festival also features a variety of contests, including a car show, photography and art contests and the annual taste-off to see who can bake the best Sweet Treat. Registration forms for each contest can be found either in the front lobby of the Eclectic Municipal Building at 145 Main Street in Eclectic, or by printing out a form from this space and mailing it to town clerk Deborah Rowe.

The Fifth Annual Alabama Rook Tournament State Championship will be held in conjunction with the Alabama Cotton Festival on Saturday, October 11, 2014.
The Tournament will take place in the old Harden building in downtown Eclectic. A portion of the proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Eclectic Kindness Ministry. The committee invites your participation in this fun family.
Registration and sponsor fees benefit the Eclectic Kindness Ministry and help keep the tournament strong in coming years. Entry fee is $20 to sit down with other top players at the Alabama Rook Tournament. Registration must be complete by Monday, October 6, 2014

As of January 1, 2012, the Town of Eclectic will collect and administer all business license applications and renewals. License renewal forms will be sent out in December for 2012 license renewals to all licensees. Business license are due by January 31st and are considered delinquent after February 1, 2012.
